Did you know?

After nearly 13 years of a Labour Government

Almost five million people are on out of work benefits.
Over one million violent crimes were recorded last year.
The poorest families are paying a higher share of their income in tax than anyone else.
Government debt is growing by nearly £20 million every hour - with the Government spending more on debt interest than on educating our children.

And in the time it has taken you to read this blog Gordon Brown will have increased the country's debt by a further £360! It's time he stopped spending our taxpayers money, and is held to account at the ballot box.

They are terrifying figures. Hopefully Brown will be given his marching orders soon.

Is there any news on the Grazia story?

might it be too late to turn the ship around? That is why I do not want the labor party to remain here. We have gone from a surplus thanks to the liberal/conservative parties decade of hard work, to a debt. Failure to unroll faster broadband, failure to unroll an "education revolution", failure to put insulation in roofs (4 deaths and hundreds of house fires), failure now in a school building project. BILLIONS of dollars wasted onnallnthese failed schemes. Now we have a 30% increase in illegal immigrants flooding our shores becasue of a softening up on border protection..

Now the Labor party ( as it approaches the next election) has put health in the spotlight... Geez, if they cannot manage to put a inslating batt inot the roof of a home, how can they possibly manage the shift the control of the hospitals from stae run to federally run.

All this drama in only 2 years!

I can only look at Britain and think- we could be heading down the same path.. :o(

Do check out my suggestion in my recent posts. If you reign in the Health Insurers, there is hope for the NHS.

“……UnitedHealth Group Inc. (UNH) agreed to pay $912 million to settle two class-action lawsuits regarding its stock-options practices……” WSJ

Rewind a year in the New York Times:

“In one of the largest corporate pay give-backs ever, William W. McGuire, the former chief executive of UnitedHealth Group, has agreed to forfeit at least $418 million to settle claims related to back-dated stock options.”

How very sad! $418 million is a lot of money!

“The payback is on top of roughly $198 million that Mr. McGuire, an entrepreneur who built UnitedHealth, had previously agreed to return to his former employer.”
Yes, it is Health Insurance reform.
