Today the BBC reported how Japanese women are buying the ultimate sleeping partner. As the picture illustrates it's a pillow with a 'built in comfort' to cuddle up to. It's shaped like a man's torso but is guaranteed not to snore or disturb them in the middle of the night.
Apparently, they have been selling in droves and Japanese women say they are good for well-being! For more information see here.

Do they make a reciprocal one for men - one you can have your arms around as you fall asleep?
I've heard about this. It says a lot about the numbers of lonely women in Japan.
Maalie, stick to the real thing, Q9 is right, you can't beat the real thing...
oh.. i don't know....
i loath to be"cuddled".(true)
The real thing is much better. On the other hand if 'sleep' is the issue, rather than non-sleep activities, then I am an inveterate pillow hugger. On the other hand, considering the chauvinism intrinsic with Japanese males,I can understand why their women would rather hug something non-human. They might get some actual affection that way.

i don't like cuddles. is that weird?
Men really are redundant now.
Aww - I think that is a neat idea. :)
That's brilliant! How simple and how inventive!
I like to cuddle before sleeping but need to be unfettered when I go to sleep. In fact I kick Husband aside if I think his leg is creeping onto my half.
Hmmmm ... this could being a whole new meaning to my "toy" collection. If he'd pay all the bills too - I'd marry it.

I think I was trying to type "bring" in the above post.
See ... I was so excited that I couldn't type.
Catherine, the redhead terrible typer
Good - well done, Japanese women. That's the first step to throwing off this feminist nonsense - to recognize you need someone to cuddle up to t night. Now they only need take the next step - a real man, for whom a bolster is no substitute and the process will be complete. :)
Your commenter's had me chuckling Michelle. Don't fear men, there are no replacements for the real thing...although the no snoring issue sounds like it might be a threat. ;)
Oh my word that is really strange. It's like a grown up teddy bear
Michelle, Have you got locked in an embrace?
