The well overdue news that the MTAS system has been scrapped is welcomed. For the BBC report read here. This is the first important step – but a lot still remains to be done.
Just heard on PM (R4 32mins into Tue 15May prog) the blessed Patrician's lesser ministers on PM denying they had done anything other than listen to Doctors.
It was a spectacular bit of spin - so much so that the BBC interviewer said "well done" at the end, as if to acknowledge his ability to spin his way out of an impossible position.
Thanks Pete - I shall check that out. Thanks David - there is still much to be done. Man in a Shed - there is spin and then there is needing a reality check. Thanks to all who have supported the doctors and continue to do so. Michelle

Great news. The Register (the site for UK IT people) has an article on it too:

They are strangers to almost any truth.
