The below clip is a very short piece from the lobby today, with the junior doctors' RemedyUK representative. He explains how the government have changed training into a tick box exercise rather than being concerned about patient care:

Well at least there are some people in the House of Commons who wantto listen and change things for the better.
I hope you had a good time today, although I'm sure you would have much better prefered to have been doing your job!
It was a busy and interesting day. As yet there is no indication that the government will scrap the system. Thanks
Michelle
There is NO doubt that the government could damage our health.
Next week I fly to france and i will see a specialist.( on my way to see Maalie... Michelle..smile)
They seem years ahead of us here. eg an exapmle is the drug Vioxx...
I complained to my local doc that it made me feel "weird", and I broke into strange bruises when riding my bike....( plus my heart beat strangly when under extreme riding)
I know my body...so I stopped using it.
Anyway:- it was legal here and banned in france...
The specialist in frane said i should stop using it immediatley
they eventually took it off the shelf here.. for obvious reasons (it had the potential to cause strokes).
I am very fit, but have arthritis ( as a result of hemochromatosis).
What has this done? I have learned not to trust completley the medical system here.
The doctors seem so stressed and cannot cope because of cost cutting.
oh! SO sorry for all the typo's!!
Found another psychiatrist's blog if your interested http://catsjournal2.blogspot.com/
Could you if possible post the rest of Dr Burton's lobby speech?
Claire - thanks for the question - but I have posted all I have... there were plenty of cameras there recording the day - so I assume a far better camera person than myself will have it.... this was just on my camera phone! But thanks for telling me this is Dr Burton - I loved his talk! Michelle
