I have hemochromatosis, and in the first two years of "treatment" I gave 550ml of blood every week, then 550ml every two weeks the following 2 years. Now, 550ml once every 8 weeks.... my ferritin level went from 4300 and is now 120.
I always am amused by the different reactions of people to blood taking or needles. Some people have a real fear of it!
And I would rreakon that leeches would not be a bad thing!
